Leviticus 19:29

 Leviticus 19:29 MKJV  You shall not prostitute your daughter, to cause her to be a whore, lest the land go whoring, and the land become full of wickedness.

Let's look at this verse in different translations:

Leviticus 19:29 ERV  "Do not dishonor your daughters by making them become prostitutes. If you do that, your whole country will turn away from God and be filled with all kinds of sinful things.

Leviticus 19:29 YLT  'Thou dost not pollute thy daughter to cause her to go a-whoring, that the land go not a-whoring, and the land hath been full of wickedness.

Leviticus 19:29 LITV  You shall not pollute your daughter, to cause her to be a prostitute, that the land may not go whoring, and the land become full of wickedness.

Leviticus 19:29 GNB  "Do not disgrace your daughters by making them temple prostitutes; if you do, you will turn to other gods and the land will be full of immorality.

Let's look at this from Deuteronomy:

Deuteronomy 23:17 KJVA  There shall be no whore of the daughters of Israel, nor a sodomite of the sons of Israel.

Deuteronomy 23:17 MKJV  There shall be no harlot of the daughters of Israel, nor a sodomite of the sons of Israel.

Deuteronomy 23:17 ESV  “None of the daughters of Israel shall be a cult prostitute, and none of the sons of Israel shall be a cult prostitute.

Deuteronomy 23:17 ERV  "An Israelite man or woman must never become a temple prostitute.

Deuteronomy 23:17 JUB  There shall be no female cult prostitutes of the daughters of Israel nor any male cult prostitutes of the sons of Israel.

This speaks of a few sinful things. Fathers, husbands, brothers who would sell their daughters, wives, and sisters into prostitution are sinning. They are using the women in their control for their own gain. They may be selling them for money, for position, for drugs, for power but they are sinning. It's sick and sinful.

It is sinful to prostitute your daughter, wife or sister for any "religious" purposes. I have to think of cults who give their wives, daughters and sisters to a cult leader for sex. I have to think of  Mormon's who believe men can have multiple wives. And fathers will give their daughters to men like this to use for sex. Why? They think they are pleasing their pagan god or pleasing their spiritual leader which will end up in some kind of blessing. It's done for gain. Maybe it's done because they are afraid of their spiritual leader. But again, it's for gain... to save their own sick skin. They think they will benefit from their "sacrifice" of their daughter. That's how twisted satan can make men. These men are guilty of the sin of selling their daughter, wives and sisters into prostitution for their own gain or their own protection. It's sick and sinful.

There are men who virtually sell their daughters into marriages that they believe will benefit themselves, their families, or consolidate their tribes or nations. Royalty of one nation making alliances via marriages with another nation. That was a big one in the old days. It still is among primitive nations. It's sick and sinful.

There are men who will sell their daughters into marriages with men the girls have never even seen or met before. Why? Because it benefits the fathers in some way. They get a dowry, a position, an image, a religious blessing, an "honor" match, etc. But it's no more than selling an asset for your own gain. It's sick and sinful.

And do not even think that you can have sex outside of godly marriage, and it be considered a spiritual thing. You can't have sex with a pastor of a church and think you are doing something spiritual. If you aren't married to the pastor, you are doing the sick and sinful. And he can't be married to but one wife at a time according to the Bible! You can't have some religious experience by having sex with a religious man (no matter what the religion is). I don't care if the man is pretending to be God's mouthpiece, or telling you it's OK because God is using you to help him minister... it's sick and sinful. He's twisting things around to get what he wants regardless of God's commands. God is pretty clear on this. All you have to do is read the Bible and you will see God is perfectly clear. Sex outside of lawful, godly marriage is sinful and there are good reasons for God to have made this command and been so clear about it.

AND THE SAME GOES FOR MEN AND BOYS! They are not to be sold for your gain into sexual bondage. Boys are not supposed to be abused by priests. Boys are not supposed to used for someone else's sexual pleasure or for someone's gain. Boys are not to be prostituted. You cannot allow your son to be used by someone sexually. Sons and daughters, are not to be abused, molested or used for whatever sick gain you get out of it.

This also encompasses sex trafficking. We are not to sell our children into sex trafficking and we are not to use children or men/women for our own sexual gratification. We are not to be the sellers or the buyers of human beings for sexual use. God has given us a perfect way to use our sexuality. It is a God given blessing when used within His parameters and that is within marriage, monogamously and with the fruit of children (if God so gives). It's a beautiful thing when done the right way. But we have made sex a travesty and horror with our sin. 

Hosea 4:6-14 ESV  My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because you have rejected knowledge, I reject you from being a priest to me. And since you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.  7  The more they increased, the more they sinned against me; I will change their glory into shame.  8  They feed on the sin of my people; they are greedy for their iniquity.  9  And it shall be like people, like priest; I will punish them for their ways and repay them for their deeds.  10  They shall eat, but not be satisfied; they shall play the whore, but not multiply, because they have forsaken the LORD to cherish  11  whoredom, wine, and new wine, which take away the understanding.  12  My people inquire of a piece of wood, and their walking staff gives them oracles. For a spirit of whoredom has led them astray, and they have left their God to play the whore.  13  They sacrifice on the tops of the mountains and burn offerings on the hills, under oak, poplar, and terebinth, because their shade is good. Therefore your daughters play the whore, and your brides commit adultery.  14  I will not punish your daughters when they play the whore, nor your brides when they commit adultery; for the men themselves go aside with prostitutes and sacrifice with cult prostitutes, and a people without understanding shall come to ruin.

Romans 1:21-32 ESV  For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened.  22  Claiming to be wise, they became fools,  23  and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things.  24  Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves,  25  because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.  26  For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature;  27  and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.  28  And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done.  29  They were filled with all manner of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness. They are gossips,  30  slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents,  31  foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless.  32  Though they know God's righteous decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them.

Another translation:

Romans 1:21-32 ERV  People knew God, but they did not honor him as God, and they did not thank him. Their ideas were all useless. There was not one good thought left in their foolish minds.  22  They said they were wise, but they became fools.  23  Instead of honoring the divine greatness of God, who lives forever, they traded it for the worship of idols—things made to look like humans, who get sick and die, or like birds, animals, and snakes.  24  People wanted only to do evil. So God left them and let them go their sinful way. And so they became completely immoral and used their bodies in shameful ways with each other.  25  They traded the truth of God for a lie. They bowed down and worshiped the things God made instead of worshiping the God who made those things. He is the one who should be praised forever. Amen.  26  Because people did those things, God left them and let them do the shameful things they wanted to do. Women stopped having natural sex with men and started having sex with other women.  27  In the same way, men stopped having natural sex with women and began wanting each other all the time. Men did shameful things with other men, and in their bodies they received the punishment for those wrongs.  28  People did not think it was important to have a true knowledge of God. So God left them and allowed them to have their own worthless thinking. And so they do what they should not do.  29  They are filled with every kind of sin, evil, greed, and hatred. They are full of jealousy, murder, fighting, lying, and thinking the worst things about each other. They gossip  30  and say evil things about each other. They hate God. They are rude, proud, and brag about themselves. They invent ways of doing evil. They don't obey their parents,  31  they are foolish, they don't keep their promises, and they show no kindness or mercy to others.  32  They know God's law says that anyone who lives like that should die. But they not only continue to do these things themselves, but they also encourage others who do them.

Jude 1:3-23 ERV  Dear friends, I wanted very much to write to you about the salvation we all share together. But I felt the need to write to you about something else: I want to encourage you to fight hard for the faith that God gave his holy people. God gave this faith once, and it is good for all time.  4  Some people have secretly entered your group. These people have already been judged guilty for what they are doing. Long ago the prophets wrote about them. They are against God. They have used the grace of our God in the wrong way—to do sinful things. They refuse to follow Jesus Christ, our only Master and Lord.  5  I want to help you remember some things you already know: Remember that the Lord saved his people by bringing them out of the land of Egypt. But later he destroyed all those who did not believe.  6  And remember the angels who lost their authority to rule. They left their proper home. So the Lord has kept them in darkness, bound with everlasting chains, to be judged on the great day.  7  Also, remember the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah and the other towns around them. Like those angels they were full of sexual sin and involved themselves in sexual relations that are wrong. And they suffer the punishment of eternal fire, an example for us to see.  8  It is the same way with these people who have entered your group. They are guided by dreams. They make themselves dirty with sin. They reject God's authority and say bad things against the glorious ones.  9  Not even the archangel Michael did this. Michael argued with the devil about who would have the body of Moses. But Michael did not dare to condemn even the devil for his false accusations. Instead, Michael said, "The Lord punish you!"  10  But these people criticize things they don't understand. They do understand some things. But they understand these things not by thinking, but by feeling, the way dumb animals understand things. And these are the things that destroy them.  11  It will be bad for them. They have followed the way that Cain went. To make money, they have given themselves to following the wrong way that Balaam went. They have fought against God like Korah did. And like Korah, they will be destroyed.  12  These people are like dirty spots among you—they bring shame to you in the special meals you share together. They eat with you and have no fear. They take care of only themselves. They are like clouds without rain. The wind blows them around. They are like trees that have no fruit at harvest time and are pulled out of the ground. So they are twice dead.  13  Like the dirty foam on the wild waves in the sea, everyone can see the shameful things they do. They are like stars that wander in the sky. A place in the blackest darkness has been kept for them forever.  14  Enoch, the seventh descendant from Adam, said this about these people: "Look, the Lord is coming with thousands and thousands of his holy angels  15  to judge everyone. He will punish all those who are against him for all the evil they have done in their lack of respect for him. Yes, the Lord will punish all these sinners who don't honor him. He will punish them for all the evil things they have said against him."  16  These people always complain and find wrong in others. They always do the evil things they want to do. They boast about themselves. The only reason they say good things about others is to get what they want.  17  Dear friends, remember what the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ said would happen.  18  They told you, "In the last times there will be people who laugh at God and do only what they want to do—things that are against God."  19  These are the people who divide you. They are not spiritual, because they don't have the Spirit.  20  But you, dear friends, use your most holy faith to build yourselves up even stronger. Pray with the help of the Holy Spirit.  21  Keep yourselves safe in God's love, as you wait for the Lord Jesus Christ in his mercy to give you eternal life.  22  Help those who have doubts.  23  Rescue those who are living in danger of hell's fire. There are others you should treat with mercy, but be very careful that their filthy lives don't rub off on you.
